Mordheim: City of the Damned Preview (GameWatcher)

Added: 17.12.2014 12:11 | 24 views | 0 comments

From GameWatcher.com: "I poured over 100 hours into XCOM: Enemy Unknown over multiple platforms when it came out. It was a superb tactical, turn-based game that married its core mechanics with a man-management sim that crucially made you care about the grunts in your team. Why make this reference? Well, Mordheim: City of the Damned has the potential of XCOM with its own solid turn-based tactical combat, but its crucially lacking the elements in Early Access that give its systems a compelling reason to play".

XCOM: Enemy Within Review | Hardcore Droid

Added: 02.12.2014 6:11 | 39 views | 0 comments

Hardcore Droid: "The Android port of XCOM: Enemy Unknown is one of the only mobile ports of a PC game out there that doesnt lose anything in transition. Considering that its really good on PC, the fact that the Android experience is about the same means that its one of the best games on the entire platform. Now, the expansion, XCOM: Enemy Within, has been ported over as a standalone game, and things get more complicated for people whove never played either game."

Xenonauts (SteamFirst Review) -Retcom

Added: 23.11.2014 20:11 | 27 views | 0 comments

SteamFirst: A few years ago, Firaxis gave us a treat: a true, full-fledged X-Com. It was a true breath of fresh air. Well, that is if you consider inhaling the vaporized remnants of your fallen soldiers fresh. Nonetheless, X-Com:Enemy Unknown was a remarkable installment that reinvigorated the turn based strategy genre for more than the niche market it typically serves. (Not counting the Civilization series, which is an a beast of its own.) For all the fancy bells and whistles, some of us found the overworld game lacking. The turn by turn tactical decisions that the player can make were brilliant. Unfortunately, it was not a true X-Com when one factors in the overworld gameplay. Goldhawk Interactives Xenonauts fills that void.

Designer Jake Solomon has tweeted a clarification about how things went down at the end of XCOM: Enemy Unknown. It's something of a spoiler obviously so best not paid any attention unless... If you've gotten to the end of the fantastic reboot of XCOM with Enemy Unknown then perhaps you'll want to know exactly what Soloman and his team at Firaxis meant with that ending.
